3rd week: Shelter for homeless
The last week we worked in the village of Akimovka. This is the place that we are supporting for 4 years. They take care of homeless children 5 to 16 years old. They find kids everywhere on street and basements, warming them up, feeding them and helping with social and spiritual supports. This center supporting in average 20-30 children.
They are working absolutely on a volunteer basis, and depend on donations and mostly by from Hands of Hope for Humanity support. We are sending them $300 every month for living expenses as well as boxes with food and cloth.
Our team repaired old building, shared with craft and Bible lessons, made field trips and helped making meals and feed children. We had some teaching sessions for adults as well.
